Furnace, Air Conditioner, Coil, Electronic Air Cleaner and Humidifier Install - 8/20/12

On Monday we completed a new install for one of our long-time customers. The initial call began on 8/15 when the customer reported that the air conditioner  in their home was not cooling the home well or maintaining the set point temperature at the thermostat. After initial diagnostics, Marty Kramer, HVAC Service Manager, found that the compressor valves were not functioning properly. Our recommendation to the customer was to replace the entire system due to the age and necessary repairs. The furnace was roughly 25 years old and the air conditioner was 13 years old. 

After presenting the customer with replacement options, they chose to go with a new Amana two-stage Air Conditioner, Goodman two-stage variable speed 80% gas furnace with 3 ton cased coil, Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner and an Aprilaire 700 M Humidifier. We also installed a new comfort net communicating thermostat.  This install came with a manufacturers lifetime warranty for the heat ex-changer for the furnace and the compressor for the AC condenser. Also included for the furnace, coil, condenser and humidifier is a 10 year parts warranty. As with all of Kramer and Sons new installations, we also provided a 1 year parts and labor warranty.

Kramer and Sons gave us three solutions to our ailing HVAC system ranging from limping it along to replacing the whole works.  Their analysis was thoughtful and clearly presented with pros and cons.  We decided to replace the whole thing.  They did the work within four days of our accepting the estimate.  Because the unit we had signed up for was out of stock at the dealer, the dealer upgraded it at no extra cost but Kramer still called to make sure we would find the upgrade acceptable (yes, please!). Kramer and Sons explained how they were going to do the job to get us functioning air conditioning in a day, and finish up with the extras on the second day.  They showed up right on time both days and were friendly and professional.  The job they did with the humidifier and air cleaner on the furnace was practically art work it was so neatly executed.  After they finished, they took time to make sure we understood how to work the control panel and how to care for the air cleaner.  

Kramer and Sons have helped us twice, once for a smaller job and now for this huge job.  We could not have been more pleased.
